Sunshine Coast Marquee Hire Types
Pavilion Marquees
Pavilion, or clear span, marquees are the most common and popular type of marquee. Pavilion marquees come in a range of shapes and sizes and have numerous different types.
Available with roofs and walls in white, clear or a combination of both, they provide a large clear space for your event. They also come in a wide variety of widths - from 6m right up to 10m - and up to 69m long - meaning they can cater for any number of guests.
Peg and Pole Marquees
Peg and Pole marquees are tension tents. This means they are like circus tents with large centre poles and the roof is then pulled tight over these centre poles giving a great pointed appearance.
You can get peg and pole marquees in two varieties. There are your traditional vinyl tops that come in white or sometimes stripes. And now you can get a sailcloth marquee. Sailcloth marquees are covered in sailcloth, like in a yacht's spinnaker, so they are really light and bright during the day and they glow at nighttime.
Other marquees
While most people opt for one of the big two marquee types - pavilion or peg and pole marquees - there are a number of other types of marquees available.
Stretch tents (sometimes called nomadic tents or beduin tents) are free form tents that can take on many shapes and sizes.
Tipis or katas are exactly as the name suggests - large tipis. They can be joined together to create larger venues.
